Analysis of Film Poster 2


 In this poster, Joes positioning behind love is significant as it places him at a position of dominance suggesting that he is always watching and manipulating those around him. The lighting also casts joe in the shadows which makes him quite mysterious and unknown as a character, which is then revealed to the audience when they watch the show. He appears as if he is lurking with a sense of control. The colour palette includes slightly darker tones suggesting the bleakness of the show, however there are some warm tones in this poster which conveys false sense of comfort.

The title you is simple but powerful, reflecting the shows exploration of obsession and the idea that joe sees himself as the centre in everybody’s life. The possessive nature of this title speaks directly to his view on others.

Ideas For My Thriller Series

  Idea 1: My first idea is to create a thriller poster based on a girl that went missing during her childhood and based on clues and evidence, her family is trying to find her. The plot twist is that her dad kidnapped her, but her family are unaware of this. My poster will include a missing poster on a lamppost near to a dark forest, with the dad behind with a secretive and sly facial expression. Key colours will include red for the ‘missing’ text with dim lighting. The title will be ‘lost’ and will be aimed at 16–25-year-old tv thriller fans.
